Green Community Connections board members are volunteers. They accept no wages or compensation. We exist to support foster, adoptive and kinship families. GCC is a registered Georgia State non-profit agency. All donations are tax deductible. Donors are provided written donation receipts. The State of Georgia provides for the basic needs of each child in the foster care system. However, there are many additional things that the State does not have the ability to fund. As a non-profit corporation, we are committed to meeting additional needs that are essential to the safety, well-being and positive-growth of children in care.
GCC Foster Parents
Green Community Connections recruit, train and approve foster families. Resource Parents should have ongoing support, recognition, training, and wrap-around services to best meet the needs of children. Prospective foster parents don’t have to be rich, just able to meet their own basic needs. They can be single or married and may own or rent their home. The number of children that you could be approved to foster would depend upon the size of your home, your own family size, and the specific needs of each foster child in your care at that time.
We are looking for caring and motivated professionals to join our family here at GCC! Social work is incredibly rewarding but can also be emotionally tough at times. That’s why we cultivate a familial culture to encourage and motivate each other through teamwork. Our caring employees are mission-driven and always keep families first. Our mission is to transform the lives of youth in foster care and their families. If that mission speaks to you, then you may be a great fit for GCC!
